Depending on the number of workers, there are different obligations: <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employer obligations<\/h3>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work centers with up to 15 workers:<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Implement and disseminate a psychosocial risk prevention policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prevent psychosocial risk factors and workplace violence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Channel workers affected by severe traumatic events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inform and sensitize workers about these risks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work centers with 16 to 50 workers:<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>In addition to the above, they must:<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify and analyze psychosocial risk factors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement control measures when required by the analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct medical examinations and psychological evaluations when necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep records on analyses, evaluations and actions taken.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work centers with more than 50 workers:<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>In addition to the above, they must:<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluate the organizational environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep a detailed control of psychosocial risk records, evaluations and implemented measures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Obligations of employees<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Apply prevention and control measures to reduce psychosocial risks and promote a healthy work environment.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend medical examinations and psychological evaluations when required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend informational events organized by the employer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report in writing if they have witnessed or suffered a severe traumatic event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report harmful practices to the organizational environment and denounce workplace violence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate in the detection of psychosocial risks and in the evaluation of the work environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid behaviors that affect the organizational environment or encourage workplace violence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Obligations according to the size of the company:<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Less than 15 workers: <\/strong>Implement prevention measures, identify traumatic events and have reporting mechanisms in place.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Between 15 and 50 workers:<\/strong> In addition to the above, apply Guide II to analyze psychosocial risks, implement control measures and keep records.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>More than 50 workers:<\/strong> Apply Guide III to evaluate the organizational environment and reinforce control measures.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General requirements:<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Psychosocial risk prevention policy (establish, implement and disseminate).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identification and analysis of psychosocial risks, according to the number of workers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adoption of preventive and control measures to mitigate risks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attention to workers exposed to traumatic events through medical and psychological evaluations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training and information for workers on the standard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documentary record of measures implemented and evaluations performed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reference Guides:<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Guide I:<\/strong> Applicable to all workers to identify traumatic events.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Guide II:<\/strong> To analyze psychosocial risk factors in companies with 15-50 workers.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Guide III:<\/strong> To evaluate the organizational environment in companies with more than 50 workers.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Guide V:<\/strong> Collection of optional demographic data.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Prevention and control measures:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prevention: <\/strong>Promoting a favorable organizational environment, safe reporting mechanisms and fostering a sense of belonging.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Control:<\/strong> Implementation of specific actions to reduce risks when medium, high or very high risk levels are identified in the analysis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">  Prevention and Control Measures<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">  The standard contemplates two types of measures: <strong>prevention and control<\/strong>, which each work center must define in order to reduce psychosocial risk factors and promote a healthy environment.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">  Prevention Measures<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">  These are the actions to be carried out in all work centers, regardless of the level of risk identified in the assessments.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">  Areas to be covered:<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leadership and relationships at work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Workloads.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work-life balance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">  Key actions:<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Promote social support, information dissemination and training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement secure and confidential mechanisms for complaints.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foster a sense of belonging and clearly define responsibilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote effective communication and adequate distribution of workloads.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluate and recognize performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Recommendations:<\/strong> Many companies already have measures in place that comply with the standard; it is key to document them and communicate them to employees to give them due importance.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Control Measures<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They should be implemented according to the risk levels identified in the assessments.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They apply when the results show medium, high or very high risk levels in any domain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They must be communicated to employees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A file must be kept with evidence of its application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Identification and Channeling of Severe Traumatic Events (STIs)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reference Guide I <\/strong>should be applied to all workers to identify possible ATS and refer them to a physician or occupational psychologist if necessary.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are HTMs?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Events occurring at work that represent a real danger to the physical or emotional integrity of a person, such as:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Explosions, landslides, serious fires.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serious or fatal accidents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assaults with violence, kidnappings, homicides.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Which ATSs are considered?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only those occurring <strong>at or because of the workplace<\/strong>. Example: an assault on the way to work <strong>is<\/strong> considered an HTM; an incident in a shopping mall is not. <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dissemination and Documentary Registration<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is essential to keep a documentary control of all the actions carried out, since the <strong>STPS<\/strong> will request it in inspections.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What should be documented?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Psychosocial risk prevention policy<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Measures adopted<\/strong> to combat workplace violence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Results of<\/strong> psychosocial risk factor <strong>assessments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mechanisms for filing complaints and denunciations.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Records of workers evaluated<\/strong> and with confirmed diagnoses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Broadcast<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is recommended that the information be posted in visible places so that workers are aware of it and adopt it.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Workers&#8217; Obligations<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While penalties fall on the employer, employees also have responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Know and respect preventive measures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid practices that affect the organizational environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in the identification and notification of risks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reporting incidents or witnessing improper events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undergo medical or psychological studies when necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conclusion: NOM-035 is key to improving the quality of work life and preventing psychosocial risks.
